KNF Mosaic Tables CareKNF DesignsAll of our products are designed and assembled in the USA. Every item is made to order. Due to the hand made nature of our products, no two pieces are exactly alike. All shapes, sizes and colors will vary slightly. TabletopsOur tabletops are made of stained glass and a natural cement-like stone blend (similar to a statuary piece). Our unique process casts the glass pieces into the cement and separates us from other artisans doing mosaics. This method leaves the top and sides perfectly smooth, without any sharp or jagged pieces, and prevents the glass tiles from ever popping loose.Our tabletops are made for indoor and outdoor use. We do suggest, however, that you take them inside in case of extreme cold or frost, just as you would with statuary. Due to the natural expansion and contraction of cement in severe weather, hairline cracks may occur. This is completely normal and will not affect the stability of the table. Hairline cracks can be filled by applying a thin layer of grout, and wiping clean with a damp cloth. Our tables have been sealed with a penetrating grout sealer to resist staining. Tables should be resealed seasonally. You may choose to reseal the top with a petroleum based grout sealer to avoid any permanent staining. To clean the table top, use a damp sponge with a non-abrasive cleaner and finish with a glass cleaner to bring a shine to the glass tiles. If tops are marked or bumped, fine sand paper may be used to remove the scuff. Wrought IronOur iron products are wrought and forged by hand. Our artisans still form each piece with the same tools blacksmiths have used over the centuries – a hammer, an anvil and red-hot iron.Our wrought iron designs are treated in a multi-step process that adds beauty and provides lasting protection. We begin by sandblasting each item to remove all impurities. A polyester powder coat is electrostatically applied then baked on, resulting in an impeccable finish. Return to Care / Warranty Page |
